On Monday Mrs. Barber's students taught the children about breads and grains.
They made tambourines with rice.
They played a matching game.
They tasted different kinds of grain products.
They read a story.
They made their own rolls, then we ate them while they were warm.
On Tuesday Mrs. Barber's students taught about vegetables.
The kids colored pictures of baskets and vegetables. Some of the kids cut their vegetables out and glued them in the basket.
They had potato sack races.
They played a matching game.
They tasted vegetables.
I can't remember what this group did.
Later we tasted some vegetables that most kids don't usually eat. We recorded on a graph who liked them and who didn't like them, and we hung it on the bulletin board.
